The Donald L. Houston Center, located prominently in the Research Park (Map) of Texas A&M University, offers the perfect environment for hosting your seminars, workshops and conferences. The Continuing & Professional Studies Office (CAPSO) manages the public meeting space within the Donald L. Houston Center (Handicap Accessible).

- Outdoor picnic area with nearby park for daytime or evening recreation

- Meeting space: 150-seat auditorium, executive conference room, and large lobby for receptions
- Breakroom for lunch and breaks which seats 40
Auditorium-style seating for up to 150 with flip-up desks. Executive Conference room seats 10 with 10 additional chairs around perimeter.

The Continuing & Professional Studies Office (CAPSO) is dedicated to personalized customer service and complete event planning. The professional staff at CAPSO works side-by-side with you to design the format that enhances the effectiveness of your event. Guests and clients of CAPSO are guaranteed superior service at the group's conference facility or at a location of your choice. Our staff welcomes the chance to explore your event needs and provide a tour of our facilities!
Pre-Event

- Reserve meeting space & accommodate parking needs
- Implement the conference you have in mind or... design the program to accomplish your objectives
- Identify and select appropriate speakers and key participants
- Provide marketing services
- Provide turnkey travel/lodging management (local lodging)
- Arrange local transportation & catering
- Maintain online registration/payment and participant information
- And more...
During Event
- Welcome participants & distribute name tags/materials
- Meet and direct conference facilitators, caterers, etc
- Provide administrative support (copies, faxes, messages, local information)
- Assist with multimedia needs
Post-Event
- Reconcile billing invoices
- Provide financial statement
- Collect, tabulate, and deliver participant evaluations
- Conduct a “post-conference wrap-up” to assess the conference and ensure future success
- Discuss future event-planning needs to provide continuity for your next program
