 Instructor

Ric Jensen has worked in public relations for more than 20 years, leading the communications program at the Texas Water Resources Institute at Texas A&M University. At the Water Institute, Jensen developed a comprehensive external communications program that included newsletters, websites, and list servs. He also led TWRI programs in media relations and special events. For the past five years, Ric has taught Principles of Public Relations online for Northwestern State University in Louisiana.

Ric has recently published many scholarly articles related to public relations and such inter-related issues as the environment, sports, politics and multicultural issues. Other fields Jensen has recently published about include internet-assisted public relations, the use of the internet for distance teaching, and the effects of the mass media on society.

Jensen is active in several organizations that promote professional activities associated with public relations and the mass media.
