Ethics
Ethics is an important component of any organization. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act emphasizes the need for ethics awareness and training. Strong ethics can protect you and your company's reputation. This course helps you and your employees understand ethics and provides 0.5 continuing education units.
Online Course Description
To begin to define ethics may be easier by defining what ethics is not. Ethics is not about or the same as religion. Ethics is not the same as following the law. Ethics is not a matter of following one's feelings. In fact, feelings often deviate from what is ethical.
So, what is ethics? This course begins by identifying the three categories of ethics -- descriptive, normative, and analytical -- and continues with ethical behavior-examples in each element as follows:
- Ethical culture
- Organizational ethics
- Conflict of interest
- Financial ethics
- Sexual harassment
- Discrimination
- Whistleblowers
- Plagiarism
- Ethical behavior and the Internet
Cost: $89
