Introduction to Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy
Horse Production & Management
I came to the program with a lot of horse experience training young horses and working with horses with behavioral issues. The program provided me a whole vision of horse management and also triggered my interest to go deeper in two specific aspects: nutrition and exercise physiology. While scientifically well-grounded the program is accessible and has a solid technical background. One of the strongest features of the program is all the information to you get to dig deeper in any area you may be interested in. I highly recommend the program to everybody interested in horses.

After completing this course I made the decision to work toward completing my degree in Equine Studies which I started in January. I learned a lot taking this course. The study material was interesting and easy to understand and follow. When I did have questions, Dr. Evans was quick to answer. I feel the knowledge I gained taking this course will help me in the classes I am taking toward my 4-year degree in Equine Studies. The website was user friendly and I plan on taking more online equine courses through Texas A & M. I also would like to thank Dr. Evans and his staff for the opportunity to take this course.

Introduction to Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy
As an equestrienne having a background in both psychology and medicine, I was highly impressed with the superb content of this Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy course. Planning to complete the entire Texas A&M Equine Facilitated Activities and Therapy certificate program in 2009, I value the excellent quality instruction available to me through this specialized educational program.
Enriching my expertise as I create my own unique equine mental health program, Equi-Psy Learning, LLC, with plans of offering psychotherapy programs for both children and adults at Willow Creek Ranch in Wisconsin, I have been enabled through Texas A&M to utilize cutting edge concepts in the field of equine mental health therapy.
Teamed with esteemed equestrian educators Leslie McCullough, LCSW and Boo McDaniel, M.A., Texas A&M has created an EFP program that packs a punch!
Utilizing the text Equine Facilitated Mental Health, A Field Guide for Practice, this exceptional work provides expert "ground schooling" at all levels.
Filled to the brim with pertinent information, students are given an expansive view into the wonderful world of Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy. The authors leave no stone unturned in supplying students with their vast expertise and valuable insights regarding equine facilitated therapy, skills and knowledge.
Paramount in their text is the degree of professionalism portrayed, bridled with their genuine heart of pride in serving the needs of equine professionals in the art and healing of Equine Facilitated Mental Health.

I was quite impressed with the depth of the information included in the Introduction to Equine Related Psychotherapy program I took with Texas A&M. As busy as life is these days, I appreciated the opportunity to further my education online. I have used this knowledge while volunteering at a therapy riding center. I will be taking more equine-related online courses in 2009 as it is my goal to set up a center to rescue horses and benefit autistic children.
